A long, long time ago, before there was anything, God planned and decided to create the world. It was a very special project! He worked for six days, and each day He made something wonderful.

On the first day, God said, “Let there be light!” And suddenly, there was light. He called the light “Day” and the darkness “Night.”

On the second day, God made the sky. He separated the waters below from the waters above, creating a beautiful blue space for the birds to fly.

On the third day, God gathered the waters together so that dry land appeared. He called the dry land “Earth” and the waters “Seas.” Then God created all kinds of plants and trees, filling the Earth with green!

On the fourth day, God made the sun to shine during the day and the moon and stars to light up the night sky. Now the world was bright and beautiful!

On the fifth day, God filled the waters with fish and created all kinds of birds to fly in the sky. It was a lively world full of creatures.

On the sixth day, God created all the animals that live on land, like lions, giraffes, and rabbits. But the most special creation of all was when He made the first man and woman. He named them Adam and Eve and gave them the special job of taking care of the world.

Finally, on the seventh day, God rested. He looked at everything He had made, and it was very good!
And that’s how God created the world, filling it with light, land, plants, animals, and people to enjoy and take care of it!
