Long ago, there was a kind and powerful teacher named Jesus. One sunny day, he went to a big, grassy hillside where many people had gathered to hear him speak. There were thousands of men, women, and children, about 5000 in total! Everyone was really excited to listen to Jesus because he shared wonderful stories and taught them about love and kindness.

As the day went on, the people began to get hungry because they hadn’t eaten anything. Jesus noticed that the people were tired and needed food, so he turned to his helpers and said, “We should feed them.” But his helpers were worried because they didn’t have enough money to buy food for everyone.

Just then, a boy in the crowd came forward. He had brought his lunch with him: five small loaves of bread and two tiny fish. He was willing to share his food with everyone. Jesus smiled and told the boy, “Thank you! This is perfect!” Then, Jesus took the boy’s lunch, looked up to the sky, and prayed. After that, he started breaking the bread and the fish into pieces. Miraculously, the food kept multiplying, and soon there was enough for everyone! Jesus’ helpers started passing out the food, and to everyone’s surprise, everyone received plenty to eat.

When they were finished, they had leftovers! Jesus told his helpers to gather up the leftover food, and they filled up twelve baskets. Everyone was amazed at what had happened. Not only did they get to eat, but it also served as a reminder of the power of sharing and kindness. And that day, a boy’s simple lunch turned into a meal for thousands, all because of Jesus’ love and generosity! From then on, they told this story to remember how sharing can make a big difference.
