Profile of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is recognised in Roman Catholicism as the incarnate Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, and the Saviour of humanity. He is seen as both divine and completely human. Born of the Virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit, He shared messages of love, forgiveness, and compassion and performed various miracles.
His crucifixion and resurrection are fundamental to the history of salvation, providing a means for reconciliation with God and the hope of attaining heaven in the afterlife. Catholics believe in Jesus’ presence through the Eucharist, the core of their faith and moral principles.
