What is an Angel?
An angel is a messenger from God. They often appear to people to deliver important news or to help them in difficult times. Angels are described as being very powerful and full of light, and they sometimes have wings or have a bright ring over their heads called a halo.
For example, when Mary discovered she would have a baby named Jesus, an angel named Gabriel told her the good news. Angels remind us that God is always watching over us and sending help when we need it. They are like loving friends who guide us and keep us safe!
What is a Guardian Angel?
A guardian angel is a special angel that God gives to each person to protect and watch over them. You can think of a guardian angel as a loving friend who always wants to help you and keep you safe.

What is an Archangel?
An archangel is a special kind of angel in the Bible. Unlike regular angels, archangels have a higher rank and are given important tasks by God. They are often seen as leaders among angels and are very powerful.
The Three Holy Archangels
Michael
A heavenly knight who protects all of God’s friends. Michael is usually dresses in amour and holds a sword. We can pray to Archangel Michael to help us do the right thing when we don’t know what to do or feel we can’t.
Gabriel
An Archangel known for brining news of great joy. He was the angel who appeared to Mary to tell her she was going to be the mother of Jesus.
Raphael
A name that means God’s healer, Archangel Raphael guides us and helps to defend us against sickness.
Uriel (Auriel or Oriel)
An Archangel is known for wisdom, shining the light of God’s truth to those seeking information or solutions. The name “Uriel” means “God is my light”.
