Fr. Michael Kilmartin, PP
Appointed Parish Priest in Ashbourne July 1st 2021
Fr. Michael was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Meath in his home parish of Kinnegad on 21 July 1996. He received his training at St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth and the Irish College in Rome. He studied biblical theology at the Jesuit Gregorian University. Fr. Michael loves sacred scripture and works at linking the Bible with life.
Before coming to Ashbourne, Fr. Michael worked in the Cathedral parish of Mullingar. His first experience as a parish priest was in Longwood, where, alongside his pastoral duties, he was responsible for renovating both churches in the parish.
He loves sports, particularly following Manchester United, playing tennis, and enjoying a long walk.
